Content Policy

The following content will result in immediate, permanent account termination and will be reported to the appropriate authorities or safety organisations (including NCMEC for CSAM):

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any content that depicts, sexualises, or exploits minors.
• Content that facilitates or incites imminent violence against a specific, identifiable person or group.
• Credible, targeted threats designed to make someone fear for their safety.
• Content that enables or facilitates human trafficking, forced labour, or sexual exploitation.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery (sharing intimate content of a real person without their consent).
• Content designed to facilitate terrorism, mass violence, or acts of genocide.

The following will result in content removal and may result in account suspension or termination depending on severity and intent:

• Harassment, targeted abuse, or coordinated attacks on an individual or group.
• Doxxing — publishing private information about a person without consent (home address, phone number, workplace, identity of an anonymous trade partner, etc.).
• Hate speech — content that dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or other protected characteristics.
• Capturing and sharing someone in a private setting without their knowledge (e.g. through a window, in a bathroom, in a changing room).
• Spam — repeated, meaningless, or near-identical submissions designed to flood the Trade pool.
• Misrepresentation — screen recordings passed off as live captures, media from other apps, or anything that violates the live-capture requirement.
• Content that violates the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempting to circumvent moderation, account bans, rate limits, or the one-trade-per-day limit.

The following content is permitted in appropriate contexts but must not be gratuitous, targeted, or shared with the intent to harm:

• Nudity — not permitted in the Trade pool. Permitted on private Timelines only if all members have consented. Content involving minors in any state of undress is never permitted.
• Graphic violence — captures of accidents, injuries, or conflict situations should be handled with care. If you are in a dangerous situation, your safety comes first. Gratuitous or glorifying depictions of violence are not allowed.
• Sensitive news events — capturing ongoing emergencies or disasters is permitted. Do not use sensitive events to harass individuals or spread disinformation.

JustHappend exists only for live captures. You may not submit:

• Pre-existing photos or videos from your camera roll or any other source.
• Screen recordings of content from other apps, websites, or media.
• AI-generated imagery or video.
• Heavily edited or composited content that misrepresents reality.
• Content captured by someone other than you (unless they have explicitly consented and you are capturing together in the same physical space).

Attempting to bypass the live-capture requirement is a violation of both this policy and our Terms of Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture what is in front of you and to share it on JustHappend. This means:

• Do not capture people in private settings without their consent.
• Be mindful of local laws around photography in public and semi-public spaces.
• If someone visible in your capture asks you to remove it, you should do so.
• For Timeline captures, consider whether other people visible in the frame are comfortable being shared with your Timeline members.

The Anonymous Trade feature has additional requirements because it is anonymous and recipients have no advance knowledge of what they will receive:

• Do not submit nudity, graphic violence, or otherwise potentially shocking content to the Trade pool.
• Do not attempt to identify, re-contact, or respond to your trade partner.
• Do not use the Trade as a vector for harassment (e.g. submitting targeted or threatening imagery).
• The one-trade-per-day limit exists to prevent gaming and spam. Attempting to work around it is a policy violation.

If you receive a Trade moment or see content that violates this policy, use the in-app report button immediately. Reports are reviewed by our team.

For zero-tolerance violations (especially CSAM or threats of violence), our response is expedited regardless of volume. Do not share or forward violating content — report it and let us handle it.

We use a combination of automated signals and human review. We aim to be consistent, but moderation involves judgment. If you believe a decision was made in error, contact us to request a review.

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, we may:

• Remove the violating content.
• Issue a warning.
• Restrict specific capabilities (e.g. Trade access).
• Temporarily suspend your account.
• Permanently terminate your account.
• Report to law enforcement or child safety organisations.

Severe or repeated violations result in permanent termination. Appeals are available except for zero-tolerance violations (CSAM, direct threats of violence), which are final.

We may update this Content Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in advance. The core prohibitions in Section 1 will never be relaxed.
